Who is Go Play Abroad?
Go Play Abroad is the sports tour brand of Sport and Fun Holidays S.r.l., an Italian tour operator based near Bologna and working in youth sport since 2006 (licence BO-533690). We design, book and run sports tours in Italy for clubs, academies, schools, coaches and sports agencies.
Which sports and groups do you work with?
Any sport, such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, rugby, tennis, ski, swimming and others. Our groups are clubs, academies, schools, coaches and sports agencies.
When can my team travel?
All year round, in two formats. In-season tours run from August to May, typically lasting 3 to 13 days, and are built around friendly matches, tournaments and training. Off-season camps run in June and July, typically lasting 7 to 18 days, and include a five-day sports camp in the Dolomites. The duration and activities of all our tours are fully customisable.
What is included in a package?
Our packages cover accommodation, meals, all ground transportation, insurance, a bilingual supervisor available 24/7, leisure activities, cultural experiences, and international matches and tournaments. The exact services for your group are written in your proposal.
Can we change the programme?
Yes. The packages are ready-made starting points. We adapt dates, duration, level of competition, cities and activities to your group. The city shown in a package is an example: any Italian base city can be organised.
What is the Dolomites sports camp?
It is the core of our off-season packages: five days of daily training in the Dolomites, with recovery, team activities and outdoor mountain experiences. You can book the camp on its own (7 days) or combine it with Venice, Bologna, Milan, Florence and Tuscany, or a full tour of Italy (up to 18 days).
How is my group looked after during the trip?
We design the programme, book stays and transfers, arrange matches and stay with the group on the ground. Every group travels with a bilingual supervisor available 24/7, with insurance cover and safety procedures built on years of trips with minors.
How do I get a proposal, and what does it cost?
Send us the sport, the age group, the number of travellers and the period. You receive a written proposal with programme, cities and prices, with no commitment.
