Privacy Policy
This page explains which personal data we collect on goplayabroad.com, why we collect it and how we process it, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Privacy Code).
Who is the data controller
Go Play Abroad is a brand of Sport and Fun Holidays S.r.l., Via del Lavoro 71, 40033 Casalecchio di Reno (BO), Italy, VAT no. 03621361207, tour operator licence no. BO-533690 (“we”, “us”). Sport and Fun Holidays S.r.l. is the data controller of your personal data.
For any question about privacy you can write to us at info@goplayabroad.com.
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) because it is not mandatory for our activity.
What data we collect
- Data you give us through the request form: organisation type and name, country, your role, sport, number of athletes, age group, preferred dates, your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number (if you provide it) and the message you write to us. Please do not include in the message any sensitive data (for example health data) that is not needed for your request.
- Data you give us if you contact us directly by email, phone or WhatsApp: your contact details and the content of the conversation.
- Technical browsing data: like every website, our server automatically records some technical data (for example your IP address, browser and the time of the visit) in its system logs. We use it only for security and for the correct working of the website, not to identify you.
Why we use your data and on what legal basis
- To answer your request and prepare a quotation: this is necessary to give you the information you asked for before a possible contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- To organise the trip, if you decide to book: to perform the travel contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR). In that case we will ask you for further data (for example travel document details) and give you a specific notice.
- To comply with legal obligations, for example tax and accounting obligations (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).
- Website security and defence of our rights: on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
We do not use your data to send you newsletters or advertising without your consent, and we do not sell it to anyone.
Giving us the data in the form is optional, but without the mandatory fields we cannot reply to you.
Data of minors
The form must be completed by an adult (for example a coach, teacher, club official or parent). Groups may include minors: about minors we only collect the data that the adult communicates to us and that is needed to organise the trip, for example the number of participants and their age group. By giving us data about other people, you confirm that you are entitled to do so.
How long we keep your data
- Information requests and quotations that do not become a booking: 24 months from the last contact, then we delete them.
- Data linked to a booking: for the period required by law (normally 10 years for accounting and tax documents).
- Technical server logs: for the short period set by the hosting provider.
Who can see your data
Your data is processed by the staff of Sport and Fun Holidays S.r.l. who are authorised to do so. Go Play Abroad and our other brands belong to the same company: they are not different companies, and data is not passed on to third parties from one brand to another.
We also use some suppliers that process data on our behalf, as data processors:
- Hostinger: website hosting and the email service through which we receive the requests sent with the form.
- IT service providers and consultants (for example our accountant), only when needed.
If you book a trip, we communicate the data that is necessary to airlines, hotels, transport companies, sports facilities and local providers involved in your programme, and to travel insurance companies, who process it as independent controllers.
Transfer of data outside the European Union
For a request for information only, your data stays within the European Union. If you book a trip, some providers involved in your travel (for example an airline) may be located outside the EU. In that case the transfer is necessary to perform the contract you asked for (Art. 49.1.b GDPR) or is covered by other safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework when the provider adheres to it.
If you write to us on WhatsApp, the conversation goes through the systems of WhatsApp (Meta), according to their own privacy policy.
Cookies
This website uses only technical cookies, which are necessary for it to work. We do not use profiling cookies, nor third-party statistics or advertising cookies. For this reason we do not ask for your consent with a banner (Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority of 10 June 2021). If in the future we add other tools, we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent.
You can in any case block or delete cookies from the settings of your browser.
Your rights
At any time you can ask us to:
- tell you which data we hold about you and give you a copy (access);
- correct or update it (rectification);
- delete it (erasure), if we are not required by law to keep it;
- limit its use (restriction);
- give it to you in a readable format so that you can pass it to another provider (portability);
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
To do so, write to info@goplayabroad.com: we reply within 30 days. If you think your data is being processed incorrectly, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
